Scam Alert 4/18/2013

Scam Alert:

Richland PD received information via its partnership with a neighborhood watch group that unknown persons called a resident's cellular phone stating they worked for Charter Communications and needed to verify their account information with them.  Information requested included name, address, and social security number.  The resident did not provide this information and subsequently called Charter Communications who stated it was not they who called and would never confirm information in this matter.  If you receive a similar call do not release your private information.
