Richland Police Arrest Subject for Drug Violation


Arrested:  Corby, Ricky L., 36 YOA, Pasco Resident
 
On 6/1/14 at 4:55 A.M., Ricky L. Corby was contacted by the Richland Police, sitting in a parked car on Columbia Center Blvd. near Tapteal Dr.  A citizen observed Corby sitting in the car apparently passed out.  He was the only person in the vehicle.
Officers arrived and observed Corby in the above condition.  He was contacted by the officers and a baggy containing a powdery substance believed to be Methamphetamine was observed in his hand.  Officers conducted an investigation and subsequently arrested Corby for possession of a controlled substance.  He was booked into the Benton County Jail on a 72-hour felony investigation hold.
Corby’s vehicle was impounded and a search warrant was obtained.  The vehicle was searched and the baggie was recovered, containing approximately 10 grams of suspected Methamphetamine.  The substance will be sent to the state crime lab for testing.  Officers are continuing their investigation into this incident.
