Fall DEA Drug Take Back 9/27/14

The Richland Police Department is participating in the fall DEA Drug Take-Back event scheduled for Saturday, September 27th from 10 AM to 2 PM.  The event is being held at the Richland Police station located at 871 George Washington Way, Richland, WA.  Prescription and over the counter medications are being accepted.  We will not accept any needles or related solutions of any kind. 

Officers and volunteers are not allowed to touch the medications so citizens are encouraged to remove the label, or mark out personal information prior to bringing them in.  RPD will have markers available for those who are unable to do so prior.

On 9/23/2014 at 11:21 Richland Police were dispatched to the parking lot of 800 Swift Blvd for a report of a subject displaying a firearm. 


Once on scene it was learned that there had been a dispute over poor parking.  It was reported that one of the individuals in the dispute armed himself with a firearm.  Just after arming himself with the firearm and making derogatory statements the subject left in a black pickup.


The identity of the subject that had armed himself was learned to be Jefferey A. Hack, a 55 year old Richland resident.  At 11:56 Jefferey A. Hack was located driving a vehicle at the intersection of Delafield and Fitch.  The suspect was taken into custody without incident for Unlawful Display of a Firearm.
