Arrest for burglary, assualt, and warrants

Arrested:
1. Johnson, Jeremy D. 35 Richland Resident
2. Jones, Dustin S. 26 Richland Resident

Charges: Burglary 1st degree, Assault, Outstanding Warrants

Synopsis: On 4/7/12 at about 1:30 AM, Richland Police responded to the 1400 block of Judson for a reported disturbance. Officers arrived to find that the front door to the residence had been kicked in and an adult male inside had been assaulted. The male victim was the brother of one of the suspects. Neither of the suspects had legal authority to the residence they broke into.

One of the suspects, Johnson, was located at his residence a couple of blocks away and was taken into custody.

The second suspect, Jones, was located after the Benton County Sherriff’s office K-9 unit arrived to assist. A K-9 track was done and Jones was located at his residence, a few blocks away. After initially refusing to come to the door, he eventually surrendered to police without incident. It was also learned that Jones had multiple warrants out for his arrest.

The cause of the dispute between the brothers stemmed from a domestic incident. Only minor injuries were reported to the victim.

Jones and Johnson were booked into the Benton County Jail on the above listed charges.
