Arrested: Baker, David D. 37 YOA, Kennewick resident
Charges: Driving on a suspended license, obstructing an officer, resisting arrest, possession of Marijuana / paraphernalia and held on a felony 72-hour hold for possession of Methamphetamine as well as being served with several outstanding arrest warrants.
Synopsis: On 7/6/11, David D. Baker was stopped by Richland Police for committing a traffic violation, on Wellsian Way near Lee Blvd. Baker stopped the vehicle and was contacted by the officer. Baker fled on foot from the traffic stop when the officer returned to his patrol car. After a short foot pursuit, Baker was taken into custody without further incident. During the foot pursuit, Baker discarded a cigarette pack which was later found to contain suspected Marijuana and Methamphetamine. Drug paraphernalia was found on his person after his capture.
It was discovered that Baker’s driver’s license was suspended and that he had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. Baker was booked into the Benton County Jail for driving on a suspended license, obstructing an officer, resisting arrest, possession of Marijuana / paraphernalia and held on a felony 72-hour hold for possession of Methamphetamine as well as being served with the outstanding arrest warrants.
